Every Child Belongs at Camp Jorn

Scholarships

Camp Jorn YMCA is committed to ensuring every child can experience the joy of camp — regardless of financial circumstance.

Through our Strong Kids Campaign, families may qualify for up to 30% off the base rate for Family Camp, Day Camp & CJ Sprouts and up to 50% off the base rate for Resident Camp, with a limited number of full scholarships available for those who qualify.

2027 Scholarship applications open December 2, 2026!

How to Apply:
  • Register your camper first. A camper registration must be completed before applying for financial assistance. A $100 scholarship deposit per camper will be collected at registration and applied toward the camper’s balance.

  • Complete the online Financial Assistance Application. Only one application is required per household.

  • Upload ONE form of income documentation: your most recent tax return, W-2, two recent pay stubs for each parent/guardian, Medicaid card, Free or Reduced Lunch eligibility letter, or Schedule C for self-employed applicants.

  • Receive your scholarship award notification within five business days of submitting a completed application and income documentation.

Financial assistance is available for Resident Camp, Family Camp, Day Camp, and CJ Sprouts programs.

Additional Ways to Fund Camp

Camp Jorn offers optional fundraising opportunities with partners like Meadow Farms and Flower Power. Families can earn funds toward their camper balance, with all proceeds going directly to their camp experience.

Families are encouraged to explore additional funding opportunities that may be available through outside organizations, including:

  • Our Military Kids – Grants for eligible military-connected families

  • Local service organizations such as Rotary, Lions, and Kiwanis

  • Churches, community foundations, schools, and youth organizations

  • Employer-sponsored assistance or other local scholarship programs

Eligibility and funding vary by organization. Families should contact these organizations directly to learn about available opportunities and application requirements.

Camp Jorn YMCA is not affiliated with these outside funding sources and cannot guarantee eligibility or funding.

Scholarship Deposit

If you decline the scholarship award offered by Camp Jorn YMCA, your $100 deposit will be refunded. Once you accept your scholarship award, the deposit becomes non-refundable, including if your camper later cancels or does not attend camp.
