At Camp Jorn, campers participate in 3 instructional classes in the morning.
Afternoons are dedicated to cabin activities. The cabin group participates in
activities such as trailrides, tubing, sailing, ice-cream runs, cabin competitions,
sports and more.
Evenings are a BLAST. We have all-camp activities such as campfires, skits,
games such as Wells Fargo, Granny's Candy, Gold Rush. On Friday evening (weather
permitting) we have our Friendship Fire ceremony.

Amazing Archery
What a thrill to be able to shoot a bull's-eye using a bow and arrow!
At the Jorn Archery Range, campers are instructed in:
*Safety
*Equipment Selection
*Proper Stance
*Proper procedures of aiming, drawing & release
*Scoring of targets

Cool Canoeing and Kayaking
J-Stroke, C-Stroke or Draw? Learn the difference between these types of canoe strokes and glide effortlessly across Rest Lake!
Campers learn:
*Basic parts of the canoe
*Basic Strokes
*Boarding and debarking
*Maneuvering successfully
*Safety and rescue procedures

Superb Sailing
With only one to two campers per boat, campers are able to gain more hands-on experience and learn at a better and faster rate.
*Jorn campers sail Sunfish sailboats
*Basic land instruction given prior to going to boats
*Learn:
~Launching and landing from dock
~Proper tacking and gibing
~Proper body position
~How to read the wind
~Sail positions
~Sail trim

Hurrah for Horses
Campers learn basic equine care and grooming as well as riding techniques. Each is evaluated and placed in the proper level based on their riding abilities. Campers learn:
*how to approach a horse, mount and dismount
*horse tack/overview or general horse anatomy
*proper riding posture and position
*physical and verbal aides used in riding
*western riding principles through various gaits depending on level (walk, trot/jog, canter/lope)

Sensational Swimming
Enjoy the refreshing fell of clean and cool water on a nice warm day! Jorn swimmers will:
~learn safety rules and follow directions of instructors/lifeguards
~have plenty of opportunity to have a blast swimming and playing in Rest Lake
~have a wristband denoting swim level. Are you a white, blue or red swimmers? Let us help you get to the next level

Wonderful Waterskiing
Jorn has a great ski program! Here are the details:
*Work up from Beginner to Expert
*You will learn on a Ski Nautique ski boat
*Booms used for instructional work
*Quality equipment available and a variety of sizes
*Trained Instructors
*Try wake boarding
*Try barefooting (experienced skiers only)
Participants must be at least intermediate level swimmers
~Pre Registration required. $80 additional fee. Limit 20 skiers per session.

Far Out Fishing
Whether you take fishing seriously or do it as a leisure activity, there's nothing like feeling a tug on the end of your line. The exhirlaration of reeling in the "big one" can be yours at Jorn. Sign up for a fishing activity and learn about:

The Manitowish Chain of Lakes has a variety of fish including Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass and various panfish.

Creative Arts (Y-Arts)
This class is for campers 12-15 years of age. Campers will explore visual and performing arts and the humanities. Participants will be encouraged to explore their creativity. Every class is different but here is what we've explored before:
